John Rattigan
John Rattigan's inspired garden designs took root in his very own garden, elevating flowers to an art form creating an intoxicating tapestry of vibrant colors and unexpected shapes.
In 1999 John decided to open the doors of Root Stock to welcome Park Slope's plant lovers and curious knick-knack shoppers. Pots, plant stands, or just a one-of-a-kind lamp can all be found in the shop and on Saturdays you may catch John on hand to give a plant tip or some secrets of gardening.
His gardens are the natural extension of a person's home with every plant, shape and color becoming a personal expression of his client. Many of his garden designs are hidden secrets among Brooklyn's old brownstone buildings.

Kerry Quade
Established in July 2000, Quade decided to throw down roots in Park Slope because it was time for Brooklynites to have a flower shop equal in quality and style to those of Manhattan.
As I embark on a new beginning with Root Stock my goal is to continue providing our customers with unique and memorable arrangements using the highest quality flowers chosen daily.
I have put a major effort into event design and production using my versatile background and deft ability in color and texture to create events of the highest caliber.
It's my 15th year in the industry...I've picked up a few tricks along the way.
